Top Genesis Framework Plugins to Rock the House

Ah, yes —the Genesis Framework.

It’s a theme that many have come to love and lust for. I personally love the theme and its subsequent child themes. Anytime I try to move away from it to another theme, it just has a way of pulling me back.

Over the past few years of using it and designing with it for myself and others, there are quite a few plugins that I’ve come across that are so epically fantastic, I use them on just about every install.

Below is a list of some of the best plugins for the Genesis Framework that are just too good not to get your hands on.

The Best Genesis Framework Plugins to Make Your Life Easier

Hands down, this is the best Genesis Framework customizing plugin that I have ever used.

I love the front end interface and it’s ease of use. If you delve into the documentation a bit, you can learn how to squeeze the most juice out of it. Change fonts, colors, add borders and images, and a ton more.

I use it and I love it. Thumbs up!

Genesis Super Customizer

If you’re on a tight budget but still want to be able to customize a few extra things on your Genesis Framework, then this customizer plugin can help. It’s not as intuitive as you would hope, but it’s definitely better than trying to figure the code out all on your own.

Beaver Builder

There are a lot of page building plugins out there, and even though it’s not made specifically for Genesis, the Beaver Builder Plugin is one of the best I’ve ever come across.

One of the main reasons I say that is because of this awesome fact about it:

There’s no lock-in.

Unlike many other page builder plugins that lock you into using it if you can to keep all the content you create with it, the Beaver Builder does not such thing. If you decide that you don’t to use the plugin anymore, even after you’ve used it to build your pages, the plugin is designed to move all you content back to the Text Editor and there is no messy shortcode garbage to clean up along the way.

Just deactivate, and done. Or, better yet, just keep using it, because it’s pretty awesome.

Genesis Simple Hooks

Customizing the look of your Genesis Framework theme can be a little tricky. Very few know CSS or PHP, and since you need those codes to change the overall look of your theme, it’s hard for many to make changes.

However, this plugin makes those PHP changes a little easier. If you’re a little familiar with code, than then using this will be a little easier for you, but either way, it’s a great plugin that gives you quick and easy access to over 50 action hook in the framework.

Genesis Custom Headers

Words cannot express the love I have for this particular plugin.

Many Genesis Framework child themes do not automatically display the featured image as part of the article when you view the post itself. This easy to use plugin changes all of that.

You can use it to create custom image headers on posts and pages, pick the placement of the image (above the title, below the title, etc) and even designate a custom picture that isn’t the one you set for the Featured Image.

You don’t have to use it every time you post something, but it’s very handy.

Genesis Title Toggle

By default, many, if not all Genesis Framework themes display the title of the page. On occasion though, there may be a time when you would like to hide that title so that it’s not displayed.

This handy plugin makes that option as easy as the click of the mouse.

Wrapping it up

This is by no means a comprehensive list of the best Genesis Framework plugin, but these are some of the best that I’ve come across.
